Job Title: Engineering/Project Manager
Role Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering projects at the Brockville location, including project management, quality and product improvement, industry compliance, as well as technical support to manufacturing. Includes development of proposals and quotes, assisting procurement with Bill of Material, overseeing installation and qualification of equipment. Projects will encompass new or refurbished dispensing equipment.
Contacts within the Company include local and international management, peers within the Engineering department, IT, Purchasing and Production. These contacts are for gathering and sharing information, including the resolution of production issues.
External Contacts are with clients for the purpose of interpreting functional requirements, obtaining design information and approvals throughout the contract including installation and commissioning. Supporting development of vendor standards for quality and cost reduction.
Responsibilities:
Develop assigned engineering projects by determining functional requirements, providing cost estimates. In conjunction with the customer, prepare budgets and quotes for management approval.
Coordinate the implementation of the project including development of the Bill of Materials. Provide technical expertise in the design and layout of equipment, including control systems, etc.
Work with CAD drawings, specifically CREO, Draft Sight, Solid Works.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree – Engineering or a 3 year Technologist Program
Project Management skills
Minimum 3 years’ work experience
Experience managing projects from design through to execution.
A hands-on approach and a passion for continuous improvement.
Self-starter and capable of working independently or in teams
